Based on the artist’s cat July, Munchy Meows is a whimsical zine inspired by a meme comparing a chubby tabby to a sea cucumber. The story follows July on a seaside adventure where he discovers his love for sea cucumbers and slowly turns into one himself.

Originally created in May 2024, this project was re-colored in May 2025 for TCAF zine vision. It opens to 12 x 18 inches, with each 4.5 x 6 inch page hand-drawn in colored pencil, then scanned and digitally colored in Procreate. Adobe Illustrator was used to give it a clean layout.
